One of the biggest PLE's (Premium Live Event) that WWE has during the year is the Royal Rumble. The concept is simple; be the last man/women standing while 30 superstars enter the match after a 90 second duration. Once you are the last one standing, you get a title shot at WrestleMania! Stories are told, returns and surprise aren't guaranteed, but you can bank on at least one or two in both the men's and women's match. This year the Royal Rumble was huge, and I am here to give you my thoughts on it! So, in Rumble fashion, 5...4...3...2...1...Let's begin!
Women's Royal Rumble Match.
Winner- Bayley
Grade- A

Thought- To kick off the night, all 30 woman (and R-Truth) gave us a fantastic match! Loved the returns and surprises and had a great time watching!
Fatal 4-Way for Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (C) vs. AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton vs. LA Knight.
Winner- Roman Reigns
Grade- B+
Thought- This match has a great pace, and I could've seen any one of these competitors walking away as champ...but Roman is the Tribal Chief and we must acknowledge him.
United States Championship match: Logan Paul (C) vs. Kevin Owens.
Winner- Logan Paul
Grade- B
Thought- You may not like Logan Pual, but he deserves your respect for what he has done in the squared circle. His WWE career has taken off like no other. Kevin has a legit reason for a rematch, so we shall see.
Men's Royal Rumble Match.
Winner- Cody Rhodes
Grade- B+

Thought- Cody does something that hasn't happened in 26 years and that is win back-to-back Rumble's. This match didn't have a ton of surprises and I feel like people had already told themselves that if nothing huge happened then it was a failure. But I am here to tell you that it was covered with stars and heavy hitters. I was shocked that Rhodes won, but happy nonetheless.
Overall- The 2024 Royal Rumble PLE was a very solid one in my opinion. You will hear people say "I wish this person would've made a surprise entrant" or "This person should've won" but the ring was filled with great competitors and stars who had compelling arguments on why they should've won! I ended the night feeling satisfied and that is all you can ask for! Stories were told, ended and we have two winners who deserved it!
